Do you think I could teach a dog to drive a bus?

Well, I did teach him to use chopsticks. He's a pretty small dog, though, the one in the picture. I'd need to ask another dog to work the pedals while Potato steered.

He's a neighbourhood dog. I don't have any pets of my own.

It's mostly been my sister and I. Usually just Sis when I'm not in Kasumi Town now.

He's the greatest dog. He was my best friend in high school. Actually, my only friend for most of that.

I have no idea who most of these people are. It's starting to make me worry a little for stupid reasons, though.

Yeah, but you know that girl on the cover who's got the uniform I wore back in high school? She was in my grade in a different class. She died a couple years ago.

I'm kind of wondering if everybody in this thing is dead. And who would write a book about a bunch of dead people.

Lots of people write books about dead people. They're called history books, usually.

History books don't have driving dogs. This is serious.

If a dog can drive a bus, then it can be a master of disguise.

I can be a master of disguise but I have no idea how to drive a bus and I'm not a dog, so I'm differing.

You could have been a dog in a past life, then did something really good to become a human, like those dogs you see on the news fishing people out of the ocean when they're drowning because they went boating while horribly drunk.

I don't think becoming a master of disguise is something "really good" to become human and if it were, I still can't drive a bus.

Fishing drunks out of the ocean is.

Isn't that just stealing someone's job? A life guard could be getting paid to do that.

Protect someone from a burglar.

Anyway, as I was saying, the dog is alive so everyone there is obviously not dead.
